This material is the final report on the findings that were compiled to determine the effectiveness of VR Services and the delivery of those services and their outcomes. This study was conducted over a 5 year period with 8,500 participants from 40 local VR offices.

This workbook, which is an introductory course, contains sections on the history, philosophy of rehabilitation ethics, medical and psychosocial aspects, vocational issues and theory of change.

This workbook contains exercises to identify counselor barriers and attitudes that may cause problems handling difficult clients. There are also sections on motivational interviewing, solution focused theory, and resources.
