The Job-Driven Vocational Rehabilitation Technical Assistance Center (JDVRTAC) is jointly funded by RSA and the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) to identify, adapt, embed, and sustain job-driven practices that lead to improved employment outcomes for people with disabilities.
NARIC is the library of the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR). NARIC collects, catalogs, and disseminates the articles, reports, curricula, guides, and other publications and products of the research projects funded by NIDILRR.
Parent Training and Information Centers are funded by RSA to help individuals with disabilities, as well as parents, family members, guardians, advocates or authorized representatives participate more effectively with professionals in meeting their vocational, independent living and rehabilitation needs.
MEDLINE® contains journal citations and abstracts for biomedical literature from around the world, and contains over 21 million references to biomedical and life sciences journal articles back to 1946. PubMed® provides free access to MEDLINE and links to full text articles when possible.
This is the portal for resources and information relevant to the parent training and information centers funded by the Office of Special Education Programs and the RSA within the U.S. Department of Education. Resources relevant to the rehabilitation community include self-advocacy, transition from school to work, college and career readiness, and postsecondary education.
PsycINFO® is an expansive abstracting and indexing database with more than 3 million records devoted to peer-reviewed literature in the behavioral sciences and mental health, making it an ideal discovery and linking tool for scholarly research in a host of disciplines.
Disability.gov is the federal government website for comprehensive information about disability-related programs, services, policies, laws, and regulations. The site links to thousands of resources from many different federal government agencies, as well as state and local governments and nonprofit organizations across the country.
ProQuest is a key partner for content holders of all types, preserving and enabling access to their rich and varied information. The database includes the world’s largest collection of dissertations and theses, as well as three centuries of global, national, regional and specialty newspapers, scholarly journals and articles.
JAN is a source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability employment issues. Working toward practical solutions that benefit both employer and employee, JAN helps people with disabilities enhance their employability, and shows employers how to capitalize on the value and talent that people with disabilities add to the workplace.
Funding for TACE centers ended in 2014. The Technical Assistance and Continuing Education (TACE) National Collaborative hosted the portal for the TACE centers sites funded by RSA to serve the public Vocational Rehabilitation programs as well as their community partners and stakeholders. Funding for these centers ended in 2014.
