PSP aims to increase participation in high-wage, high-skill, and in-demand careers, including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, for individuals with disabilities. The project focuses on underrepresented groups such as people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, justice-involved youth and adults, and women. PSP will assign caseloads based on the Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) goals, not geography, forming sector-specific teams of a counselor and business specialist in five areas of the state with high-demand jobs. The project will offer work-based learning opportunities and develop industry-specific partnerships to connect consumers with career pathways. Advanced technology will help personalize IPEs and guide career goals.
