The XR for VR project uses extended reality (XR) technology to improve career opportunities for North Dakotans with disabilities, especially in remote or underserved areas. It raises awareness of high-paying manufacturing jobs and educates employers on the benefits of hiring people with disabilities. The project tests a model to help individuals access competitive integrated employment by partnering with service providers, educators, and employers while creating accessible, affordable technology resources. By addressing awareness gaps, XR for VR strengthens support networks and builds capacity for competitive integrated employment. Scalable and adaptable, it could benefit regions nationwide.
