Alaska’s Collaborative System of Employment Services for Children and Youth with Disabilities is a coordinated effort involving multiple agencies working together to improve outcomes for young people with disabilities. The main goal of the project is to increase the number of youth and individuals with disabilities in Alaska who achieve competitive employment. This will be done through innovative and collaborative programs involving key agencies and organizations. The project includes leadership training, peer support, mentoring, apprenticeships, financial literacy classes, and a centralized website to connect all services and opportunities. The grant subrecipients will handle most of the training and outreach, while the sponsor organization will oversee funding, reporting, and overall coordination of the project.
