Foundations of Inclusion and Safety for Serving and Supporting Youth - 3/11/2020

Date: March 11, 2020

The 2014 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is landmark legislation designed to strengthen and improve our nation’s public workforce system, help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers, and help employers hire and retain skilled workers.

As a result, the fields of education and  vocational rehabilitation continue to expand to include a broader constituency, and, as professionals, we are challenged to stretch our knowledge, skills, and attitudes to design and provide services that are welcoming, inclusive, and authentic, while demonstrating an adherence to industry established ethical and quality standards.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the resources available to support youth in their journey to employment success, key concepts, and competencies necessary to create a foundation for ongoing participation in the Youth Services Professionals/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (YSP/KSA) training modules.
