When: December 18, 2019

Description: As the vocational rehabilitation field expands to include employment services with youth, we as professionals are challenged to stretch our knowledge, skills and attitudes in a new direction. When we are providing our best services, ethics plays a part in our service design and decision making. Join this session to explore the nuances of planning and partnering with families while balancing youth autonomy, the ethics of relationship building with youth and the intersections of culture and disability that influences the process. Participants in this webinar had the opportunity to explore several foundational codes of ethics and practice including: CRCC Code of Professional Ethics for Rehabilitation Counselors, APSE Ethical Guidelines and CIRRIE’s Cultural Brokering Guide.
