Virginia Career Pathways for Individuals with Disabilities (CPID) Project - 6/9/2020

When: Tuesday, June 9, 2020 3:00pm – 4:30pm (EDT)

Description: Please join in the discussion on Virginia’s RSA-funded Career Pathways for Individuals with Disabilities (CPID) project. CPID was designed to help individuals with disabilities acquire marketable skills and recognized post-secondary credentials that enable them to secure competitive, integrated employment in high-demand, high-quality occupations. Virginia’s CPID project invested in demand-side activities and analysis to identify credentials of value. This project also allowed for extensive use of assistive technology and occupational therapies, especially for students with autism.

Virginia’s CPID project collaborated with:

The Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center to support trainings for Manufacturing Technician, Information Technology and soft skills development;

The Virginia Community College System and Adult Education to pilot new cohort training with workforce partners on an Apprenticeship grant and co-enrollment strategies;

The DOL Disability Employment Initiative grant; and

The Virginia Community College Workforce credential trainings.
