When: Dec 19, 2019 03:00 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)

 Session Description:

Establishing best practices for students with disabilities in secondary CTE settings is an on-going effort. Both professionals in special education and secondary CTE have a vested interest in student post school success. This final in our five-part webinar series focuses on programs, practice, and partnerships that can support moving toward best practices in secondary CTE for SWD. Please join us for a focused discussion concerning the promises of best practice with models and approaches that move the field toward school success.

Session participants will:

1. Learn about effective programs and partnerships that have led to best practices for one school setting in PA and one schools efforts working toward best practices in OH.

2. Learn about the importance of collaborative partnerships with multiple agencies and stakeholders (i.e., CTE, SPED, VR, WIOA) with the potential for positive post-school outcomes for SWD in CTE.

3. Learn strategies, approaches that work, and practical insight from the State of Ohio in building a “systems approach” to support SWD in secondary CTE settings.
