WIOA Webinar Series Part 1: WIOA Section 404 Definitions - 6/12/2018

Tuesday, June 12, 2018 2:00:00 PM EDT - 3:30:00 PM EDT

The goal of vocational rehabilitation services under WIOA is to help students and/or youth with disabilities to work and receive services in “competitive integrated employment.” Accordingly, this webinar will explore the definition of competitive integrated employment-- and its accompanying definitions.

About this Webinar Series:

The legal landscape around serving transition-age youth has changed dramatically in the last few years. The Vocational Rehabilitation Youth Technical Assistance Center (Y-TAC) is conducting a five-part series of webinars to assist youth service professionals in understanding the intricacies of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other legal changes related to serving transition-age youth.  The webinars are designed for Vocational Rehabilitation counselors, school personnel, community-based organizations, and other youth service professionals working with transition-age youth as well as family members and advocates.

The Y-TAC is a sister technical assistance center of the NCWD/Youth, housed at the Institute for Educational Leadership and supported by the U.S. Department of Education's Rehabilitation Services Administration.
