Summary
This NTACT information brief highlights soft skills as a promising pre-employment transition services practice. Soft skills training includes instruction on such skills as effective communication, good attendance, time management, appropriate dressing, and interpersonal communication with co-workers and supervisors. In the research described, the intervention was provided using an interactive training curriculum, the Smart Work Ethics (SWE) program.
